Foster info

Foster homes are the heart of TUPDR’s ability to save lives. By fostering, you can help a homeless dog without the commitment of adoption.

Fostering is one of the rewarding experiences in rescue. Our foster parents welcome dogs into their homes while they are waiting for adoption. By being in a home instead of a shelter, 2 lives are saved — the life of the dog who is being fostered & the life of another dog who will find space at the shelter due to the vacant kennel there.

Fostering generally entails caring for a homeless dog just as you would your own dog: offering food, affection, socialization, and exercise to keep the dog happy and healthy.
