Thank you for completing the Adoption Application. This information is essential when placing a dog into the right adoptive home. By signing below, you attest to the truthfulness of your answers. Any falsification of the answers to the questions will be grounds to disallow your adoption of a TUPDR dog. Please use your typed name as your signature. Additionally, you understand that ALL resident animals MUST be up-to-date on ALL vaccinations, spayed/ neutered, and current on heartworm preventative to be considered for adoption. We do not adopt dogs to outside homes, and all animals must be housed indoors. Please understand that the application can take several days to process.

Adoption Process

Once you’ve completed your application, one of our volunteers will start the process. We perform the following verifications:

Veterinary reference-confirms that your current pets are up-to-date on core vaccines and heartworm preventative. We also check past pets as well to make sure they received veterinary care on a regular basis. We do this for all the animals we take in to our rescue and want to be sure that you will do the same for them.
Personal references-we will contact the personal references you provide.
Home check-if you are a renter, we check with your landlord to verify that you have permission to have a pet and if there are any breed or size restrictions. If you own your home, we will schedule a time with you to make sure your home is appropriate for the dog you want to adopt.
Once all checks and references are verified, we will schedule a date and time to meet your new best friend!
